Turkey wants to take its relations with the European Union to a new phase in a period when its trade with the bloc is more important, Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak has said during a press conference with his French counterpart, during which both sides underlined the importance of Turkish-EU ties.

A video showing President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan giving a piece of cucumber to a small-sized dog on a leash surfaced after his son-in-law and Energy Minister Berat Albayrak shared the footage on social media on June 17.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on April 9 that a photograph showing him teaching the Quran to one of his grandchildren was taken on the night of the failed coup attempt on July 15, 2016.

Ahmet Akif Albayrak is the son of the president's daughter Esra Albayrak and Energy Minister Berat Albayrak, who married in Istanbul in May 2016.

Turkey does not foresee a delay in the scheduled timetable for the TurkStream natural gas pipeline project between Russia and Turkey under the Black Sea, Turkish Energy Minister Berat Albayrak said on Oct. 26.

"There is a plan to start construction in 2017 and to complete by 2019. We don't foresee any delay for its completion," Albayrak told Anadolu Agency.

One of the topics discussed at the cabinet meeting presided over by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was those who have been expelled from public work within the context of the fight against the Fethullahist Terror Organization (FETÖ). Interestingly, this topic was brought up by the president, who, as a matter of fact, was the very person whose hotel was raided by putschists trying to kill him. <
