Four rescued from sailing boat adrift in Saronic Gulf
The four passengers on a sailboat that was floating adrift in the Saronic Gulf without engines or sails have been successfully rescued and are in good health, Greek authorities said on Monday.
Catamaran Cup under way in Nafplio
Catamarans are lined up in the harbor at Nafplio, in the northeastern Peloponnese, on Wednesday, at the end of day five of the 10th Catamaran Cup. Launched by Istion Yachting in 2010, the event has become one of the most popular on the regatta calendar, drawing entries from 18 countries. The race, which takes place in the Saronic and Argolic gulfs, ends on Saturday.

The all-black, ferryboat-inspired sculpture was donated to the municipality in 2016 and initially placed in the island's port.

Authorities were investigating the cause of a collision between two sailing boats off the island of Aegina Friday, which led to the injury of a British woman who was transferred to the island's health center.

Three die in helicopter crash near Poros
Three people died after a private helicopter crashed Tuesday near the Saronic island of Poros, some 60 kilometers south of Athens, after reportedly hitting electrical wires.
The accident took place at 3.40 p.m. Coast Guard rescue crews recovered the bodies of two Russian tourists and their Greek pilot.

Two dead, one missing after helicopter crashes in the sea
Two people were killed and one went missing after a helicopter crashed into the sea off the coast of the Saronic island of Poros on Tuesday.
Coast Guard rescue crews responded to the crash recovering two bodies, believed to be Russian tourists. The Greek pilot was still missing.

A helicopter has crashed into the sea off the coast of the Saronic island of Poros, reports said Tuesday.
According to Greece's state-run Athens-Macedonia news agency, the aircraft, said to be a privately-owned Agusta 109 helicopter, tangled in power lines before plummeting into the water.
