Türk Telekom’s revenues up 19 percent in first half of 2021
Türk Telekom, Turkey's prominent telecommunications company, racked up 15.8 billion Turkish Liras ($1.8 billion) in consolidated revenues in the first half of 2021, posting an annual increase of 19 percent, it said in a press release on Aug. 10.

133 new Covid cases confirmed on Friday, on par with a week ago
Ljubljana – Slovenia logged 133 new coronavirus cases on Friday as 1,575 PCR tests came back positive, putting the positivity rate at 8.4%. This compares to 135 new cases and a positivity rate of 8.1% a week ago. One Covid patient died.
Friday’s tally of new cases is by 11 lower than Thursday’s, but the number of PCR tests was also lower by 196.
Permits of 400 taxis at Istanbul Airport revoked over irregularities
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has canceled the work permits of a total of 400 taxis operating at the major airport in the city after inspections revealed that their taximeters did not meet standards.
Certificate checking mandatory as of today
Ljubljana – Organisers of public events and gatherings must check visitors’ Covid certificates as of Friday under a regulation that the government put in place yesterday. A mobile app has been released, for now only for devices running Google’s Android operating system. A version for Apple devices is expected within two weeks.

Turkey does first exports of 'kamikaze drone' Kargu
Turkey has exported its autonomous rotary wing attack drones - also known as kamikaze drones - produced by Turkish defense company STM for the first time, the firm has announced.
After high-level negotiations, the first contract for exports of STM's Kargu drones was signed, the firm said in a statement.
Bosnia’s Judiciary Still Reluctant to Answer Emailed FOI Requests
Nearly 10 per cent of judicial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina which responded to BIRN's FOI request insisted that requests for access to information be submitted in person or by mail, while some offered fax as an alternative.
BIRN sent inquiries to 96 courts and prosecutors' offices on how they receive requests for free access to information.
Investors to be offered ‘shares’ in Picasso painting
A Picasso painting is to be sold in tokenized form, allowing investors to buy "shares" in the work, Swiss digital asset bank Sygnum announced July 15.
Sygnum joined forces with Artemundi, a fund specializing in art investments, to offer the shares in Picasso's 1964 work "Fillette au Beret."
