Poseidonia Sea Tourism Forum takes place in May

The 3rd edition of the Posidonia Sea Tourism Forum is to take place during May 26-27, 2015. The event, focused on the East Med and the Black Sea, promises to be incisive and interesting with a full conference program aimed at highlighting the positive trends and negative barriers that need to be addressed so that the region can reach its true potential.

Project to map Greece’s seagrass meadows gets go-ahead

The first ever attempt to map Greece’s seagrass meadows has been given the go-ahead after Agricultural Development Minister Giorgos Karasmanis signed a decision to launch an invitation for bids for the 850,000-euro project.

The charting of the Posidonia oceanica, which is commonly known as Neptune grass or Mediterranean tapeweed, is to be carried out by the end of 2015.

Posidonia exhibition set to be bigger than ever

This year’s Posidonia shipping exhibition, to take place on June 2-6 at the Athens Metropolitan Expo venue, will be the biggest in the event’s long history, with organizers confirming on Thursday it will break records in terms of both the number of participating countries and the size of the exhibition, while the conferences and seminars program is significantly larger than the previous Posidon
