BELGRADE - CeSID Executive Director Bojan Klacar said Sunday he was not surprised by the low morning turnout in the Belgrade local elections.
He said prior research had indicated the turnout would not be on par with that in last year's presidential elections.

RIK announces final election results, Vucic president
BELGRADE - Serbia's national election commission (RIK) announced late Thursday the final results of the April 2 presidential elections, according to which Aleksandar Vucic won in the first round of the polls.
Vucic won 55.08 pct of the vote, or a total of 2,012,788 votes.
Serbia Poll Runner-up Jankovic to Form Political Movement
Former Ombudsman and runner-up in the April 2 presidential elections, Sasa Jankovic, announced on Thursday that he intends to launch his own opposition political movement, which he said will be formally registered in the coming days.
Ipsos: Turnout by 7 pm at 49.8 pct
BELGRADE - According to figures released by the Ipsos agency, 49.8 pct of voters have cast their votes in the Serbian presidential elections by 7 pm on Sunday, the RTS reported.
In last year's parliamentary elections, the turnout by the same time of day was 51.6 pct.

Polling stations in Serbia close
BELGRADE - Polling stations across Serbia, at which citizens cast their votes in Sunday's presidential elections, closed at 8 pm.
According to figures released by the national election commission (RIK), the turnout by 6 pm was 46.23 pct of 6,724,949 registered voters.

Vucic declares first round victory in presidential elections
SNS leader and Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic has declared his victory in the presidential elections held in Serbia on Sunday, April 2.
Previously, CeSID and Ipsos pollsters announced that the ruling coalition's candidate had won over 50 percent of all cast ballots.

Polling stations in Kosovo to be determined by March 12
A total 8,253 polling stations will open for the April 2 presidential elections in Serbia, the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) decided on Thursday.
Of this number, 29 will be located in prisons.
