Cruise liners to berth at Greece’s ports
The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) announced on Tuesday that it has reached an agreement with the Greek government for the creation of a framework so that cruise ships can carry out short-term berthing in Greeks ports at a time when cruise ports are closed for precautionary purposes.

Greece Announces International Tender for 10 Ports
In 2020, Greece will announce an international tender for the operation of 10 major regional ports. This was stated by Minister of Shipping and Island Policy Giannis Plakiotakis at a meeting with representatives of the Greece's Association of Cruise Ship Owners.

Cargo ship adrift off southeast Peloponnese
A cargo ship was cast adrift off Cape Maleas in the Peloponnese on Monday after losing its rudder in turbulent waters whipped up by gale-force winds.
The Marshall Islands-flagged ship is carrying a crew of 22 people and a cargo of metal. It was sailing from Turkey for Argentina when it got into trouble off the eastern coast of the southern Peloponnese.

Strike Stops Ferries in Greece on July 3
All ships and ferries in Greece will remain in the ports of the country on June 3. The Executive Committee of the Pan-Hellenic Seamen's Federation (PNO) decided to declare a 24-hour strike for all categories of ships on Wednesday, July 3.

Bulgarian and Romanian Ships Fight Oil Spills in the Black Sea
