The Transport Ministry issued a ban on Turkish-flagged commercial yachts and regular passenger ships sailing to Greece as of Sept. 25 after the Greek authorities seized 11 vessels for allegedly violating a maritime regulation overseeing the quality of international sea transportation.

Dozens of perfectly preserved ancient shipwrecks have been found at the bottom of the Black Sea.

Whale Hit a Ship, Several People were Injured
Several people have been injured after a whaling has hit a sport fishing vessel at sea near the Australian coast. The 9-meter-long craft returned with eight passengers aboard a Whitsundays port, when a whale hit and knocked them underwater, lifting the vessel in the air, the French press reported, quoted by BTA.

Maran Tankers orders four new VLCCs
Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co Ltd announced on Friday it has won an order to build four Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) from Greek company Maran Tankers Management.
Daewoo has undertaken to complete the construction of the carriers by August 20, 2019.
