Ryanair confirmed that it had made an offer to buy the bankrupt Alitalia. Reports ChronicleBG.
In May this year, the company went through a financial assessment, which means that it will either cease trading or will be sold or will continue to exist on the brink of survival. This happens for the second time in the last decade (the previous time was in 2008).

Ryanair says makes 'non-binding' offer for Alitalia
Ryanair has made a "non-binding offer" for its loss-making Italian rival Alitalia, the Irish no-frills carrier said on July 24.
"We have made a non-binding offer for Alitalia. As the largest airline in Italy, it's important we are involved in the process," Ryanair said in a statement after Italian media said Friday that about ten such bids had been made.

Turkish Airlines passenger traffic rises 4.5 pct in May
The number of passengers carried by Turkish Airlines increased 4.5 percent to 5.9 million passengers compared to the same month of 2016, the company announced on June 8.
The rise in the number of passengers carried on domestic and international lines were 1.9 percent and 6.7 percent, respectively, the company said in a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).
