A rise in attacks against minorities has alarmed observers in Bulgaria. They say the violence is generated by nationalism, and that this aggression is rooted in the way Bulgaria reads its own history. DW takes a look.

The alternative rock singer Tori Amos will perform in Sofia, Bulgaria, on June 20. 

The concert in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) is part of her European tour presenting her most recent album, “Unrepentant Geraldines”, set for release in May.

Hollywood actor Pierce Brosnan arrives in Bulgaria's capital city Sofia for a new movie shoot, Tuesday.

The James Bond series star will be joined by his celebrity colleague Milla Jovovich on Wednesday for the shoot of a thriller called Survivor, Nu Boyana Film Studios told Bulgaria's Dnevnik.
