Big fire in the spa near Sombor, emergency evacuation: "Bigger disaster was avoided"
All staff members and about seventy patients were evacuated and there were no casualties or injuries.
The fire broke out between 19:00 and 20:00, and the roof structure and the building above the thermal pools are on fire.

Speaking to reporters at Backi Breg near Sombor, northern Serbia, Vucic said politicians in Serbia became modern quickly but that that lasted for three, four or six months.

Shooting from firearms was reported on Thursday from a migrant and refugee camp near Sombor in northwest Serbia, related to a conflict between migrant gangs. One person was wounded, Serbian police told N1 TV.

Diplomats visiting weavers in Vojvodina village
On Saturday, the third weavers’ colony in Stapar next to Sombor in Vojvodina, was visited by high ranking diplomats and government officials.
They included Australian and Norwegian ambassadors, resident UN representative in Serbia, representatives of the US, British and Israeli embassies, provincial and national officials, as well as representatives of NALED, and Ethno Network.

Huge arms and explosives cache discovered, 10 arrested
Ten people have been arrested and a "huge amount of arms" found in the areas of the towns of Apatin and Sombor, Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic has said.
This group was selling, distributing, and using various types of weapons, he said.

Night of Museums held in 43 Serbian cities, towns
BELGRADE – The 11th Night of the Museums was held last night in 43 Serbian cities and towns – including on 65 locations in Belgrade and 45 places in Novi Sad – once again drawing many visitors, the organisers said on Sunday.
From Saturday 6 p.m. to Sunday 2 p.m. many museum lovers spent another unforgettable night at their favourite art institutions, on squares and in streets.
