Kosmos Jazz Party | Athens | June 1

Kosmos radio station invites you to a lively celebration of jazz on June 1, at Gazarte (34 Voutadon) featuring DJs and a live performance by Rosey Blue. Known for her unique voice, Athens-based Rosey Blue will perform with six musicians, blending blues, jazz, Motown soul and garage rock. The event promises a groovy atmosphere that will get you in the mood for dancing. Admission is free.

The Soul Peanuts organ trio plays boogaloo, RnB, and jazz-funk-soul compositions. With the phenomenal Raphael Meleteas on the organ, Erik Panagopoulos on guitar, and Giannis Papadoulis on drums, the Soul Peanuts are an up-and-coming group on the Athenian music scene. The show will take place at the Poetry Bar in Kypseli (4 Soultani). Admission is free.

Martha High | Athens | November 3-6

Soul diva Martha High comes to Greece for a short residency at the Half Note Jazz Club with the Soul Cookers band. The vocalist broke out on the gospel and jazz scene in the 1960s after going on tour with James Brown as a backing singer, and went on to perform with some of the greatest names of the genre, later evolving into disco and funk.

The three stars of Istanbul Jazz Festival's grand finale

The 22nd Istanbul Jazz Festival will come to an end on the 15th of July with three concerts you do not want to miss at Unig Open Air Stage in Istanbul.

Young trumpeter Theo Croker will start off the festival?s grand finale, followed by the neo-soul quartet, Hiatus Kaiyote. The final part of the concert will be performed by British soul musician Michael Kiwanuka.
