Turkey Has Launched the Gas Pipeline ''Turkish Stream'' Land Route After Receiving $ 1 Billion from Russia
Russian energy giant "Gazprom" announced that it has signed a protocol with the Turkish government to build a road section of the gas pipeline "Turkish Stream".
The signed protocol is the basis for the beginning of the construction of a land section of the gas pipeline on Turkish territory, according to BGS.
Bulgaria Launches Natural Gas Hub Project with EU Support
Bulgaria is creating a natural gas hub at its Black Sea coast.
The Bulgarian energy ministry says the state-owned company Bulgartransgaz signed a 1.2 million-euro ($1.5 million) contract Thursday with a Bulgarian-Swiss consortium for a feasibility study. The European Union has pledged to provide 920,000 euros ($1.13 million) for the project.

Bulgartransgaz to Acquire Assets of South Stream Bulgaria
Bulgaria's gas transmission system operator Bulgartransgaz said it is planning to acquire 28 properties owned by South Stream Bulgaria, a 50/50 joint venture set up by Russia's Gazprom and state-owned Bulgarian Energy Holding.
The properties have a total estimated value of 13.2 million levs ($8.3 million/6.7 million euro), Bulgartransgaz said in a notice on Tuesday.

MOSCOW - The Gazprom board of directors will at a February 13 meeting consider the option to purchase an additional stake in the South Stream Serbia company, the Russian energy giant announced on Monday.
According to the Russian news agency Tass, one of the items on the agenda is "purchase of additional shares of South Stream Serbia by Gazprom."
