Serbia drops in WB business conditions ranking

WASHINGTON -- The World Bank has issued a prognosis of business conditions around the world for 2015 and ranked Serbia 91st out of 189 countries.

This represents a downgrade from last year's 77th spot, leaving only Bosnia-Herzegovina with a worse rank, at 107.

An EU rule-of-law mission special prosecutor in Kosovo said that a senior official at the European judicial body took bribes to free suspects accused of serious crimes.

EU "lifts sanctions against Milošević"

BRUSSELS -- The European Union has lifted sanctions it imposed against former Serbian and Yugoslav President Slobodan Milošević, said reports on Tuesday.

Milošević died in 2006 during his Hague Tribunal trial, where he stood accused of war crimes and genocide in Bosnia, and war crimes in Croatia and Kosovo.

PRISTINA - The Pristina Court of Appeals said on Tuesday that it has placed under house arrest seven imams suspected of having committed a crime against Kosovo's constitutional order and security.

Initially, the Pristina Basic Court remanded the suspects in two-month custody on October 17.

BELGRADE - Turkish investors are interested in investing in milk production and processing, banking services, the textile industry, agriculture, energy and the construction industry, participants in the sixth Serbian-Turkish business forum, which brought together about 300 companies from the two countries, said in Belgrade Tuesday.
