Zimonjic/Nestor through to Rotterdam second round
ROTTERDAM - Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic and Canada's Daniel Nestor were successful in the Rotterdam opener on Wednesday.
In the first round, they outlasted American-Canadian pair James Cerretan/Adil Shamasdin 6-4, 3-6, 10-5.

Zakopalova ousts Ivanovic in Doha
DOHA - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic failed to reach the third round of the WTA singles tournament in Doha, after losing to Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 in a second round match on Wednesday.
After winning the first set, Ivanovic lost her grip and the 32nd ranked Czech used the opportunity to clinch her first victory against the Serb.

Udovicic: Stronger support to Paralympians
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic and President of Paralympic Committee of Serbia (POKS) Zoran Micovic signed a funding agreement on Wednesday, based on which the Paralympians will be allocated RSD 42 million (EUR 1 = RSD 116) from the state budget this year.

Ivanovic, Jankovic through to Doha second round
DOHA - Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic is through to the second round of the WTA tournament in Doha, after her first-round opponent, Slovakia's Daniela Hantuchova retired at the start of the second set.
With the Serbian player leading by 7:5, and 1-0 in the second set, Hantuchova withdrew with a right knee injury.

Serbia wins Volvo Cup in Szolnok
SZOLNOK - Serbia's national water polo team lifted the trophy of the Volvo Cup in Szolnok, after a convincing win over Germany in the final third round match by 17-5 (6-3, 5-1, 3-0, 3-1).
Serbia has triumphed with the maximum nine points, ahead of the host country Hungary with 6, Germany with 3 and the U.S. team with 0 points.

Fed Cup: Canada beat Serbia 3-1
MONTREAL - Serbia's Fed Cup team failed to reach the World Group playoffs after losing to Canada 3-1 in Montreal on Sunday in a World Group II first round tie.
Eugenie Bouchard won the decisive point for Canada by beating Vesna Dolonc 6-0, 6-3.

Crvena zvezda defends Korac Cup
BELGRADE - Belgrade's basketball team Crvena zvezda defended the Radivoj Korac Cup with a hard-fought win over their city rival Mega Vizura 81-80 (15-31, 27-11, 19-18, 20-20) in the final game late on Sunday in Belgrade.
This is the seventh national cup trophy for Crvena zvezda, and their first successful cup defense.
