Top Turkish students opt for medicine, tech engineering
Students who achieve the highest scores in the university entrance exam in Türkiye prefer to study medicine, psychology, and engineering the most, while once-popular fields like law are now less favored among the top students, local media has reported.
Additional quotas to be opened for quake-hit students: Erdoğan
The results of the high school admission exam have revealed that 562 students, including some quake survivors, have received a perfect score, with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announcing that two additional quotas will be opened for quake-affected students in each class of high schools.

Graduation exam - day three: Eighth grade students taking the combined test
The Ministry of Education should announce the results of today's test.
Eighth grade students started taking the combined test today at nine o'clock, which will complete the small graduation exam, organized in 522 schools.
Turkey lifts university entrance exam threshold
The Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) will no longer have a threshold starting from this year, according to a decision by Turkey's Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
The decision concerns 2.5 million students preparing for university entrance exams. The placement score will be calculated by adding the secondary education success score to the exam score of candidates.

National school-leaving exam results best in three years
Ljubljana – A total of 5,461 final-year secondary school students or some 97% passed the national school-leaving exam, known as the matura exam, up from 94% last year and 95% in the pre-distance learning year of 2019. All points in the exam were scored by 15 students, whereas 10 Slovenian students bagged all points in the international matura.
Turkey kicks off university entrance exams
With millions of hopeful students putting pencil to paper, Turkey's university entrance exams began early on June 26.
Within a period of 135 minutes, the tests include 120 questions covering math, history, geography, ethics/religion, philosophy, chemistry, biology, and physics.

Minister of Education Sorin Cimpeanu announced on Thursday that the national exams will take place on the established dates, and final-year classes will participate online in all teaching activities between April 12-29.
University entry exams get underway amid health measures
A total of 82,159 graduating high schoolers will sit this year's nationwide university entry exams that started on Monday, amid strict health protocols to avoid the transmission of the coronavirus.
The candidates will claim 77,970 seats in Greek universities in the exams that started nine days later than the ones in 2019.
