Campaign to return sidewalks to pedestrians

"Give the sidewalks back to pedestrians" is the slogan of a Facebook group set up by three pensioners around three years ago to raise awareness about the issue.

The group, which has about 700 members, posts photos of blocked and trap-infested sidewalks and asks citizens to do the same, with the aim of mobilizing the authorities.

The installation of reflective rubber wings aim to limit the entry of vehicles into the oncoming traffic, greatly reducing the rate of traffic accidents.

The Capital already Has a Parking Lot for Bicycles and Electric Scooters

The first parking lot for scooters and bicycles was opened in the capital, BGNES reports. The bike parking lot is located on Vitosha Blvd., near the intersection with Dr. Stefan Sarafov Street in the South Park direction.

One more of the streets in downtown Sofia will be closed for repairs. On February 20, Wednesday, the renovation of "Shesti Septemvri" Street from "Aksakov" Str. To "Slavianska" Street starts, the Sofia Municipality announced. On a preliminary schedule, the repair must be completed by April 15, but the time limit may be extended if the weather deteriorates and prevents work.
