WWII grenade found in Siatista school courtyard
An old hand grenade was discovered in the courtyard of a high school in Siatista, in Kozani, northern Greece, late on Monday.
A team of military bomb disposal experts were dispatched to the scene and subsequently detonated the weapon.
Reports suggested the grenade dated from World War II.

Nine arrested for robberies in Peloponnese, Attica
Police in Nafplio in the eastern Peloponnese, have arrested nine suspects in connection to a criminal ring believed to have carried out a string of robberies at homes, rooms-to-let and stores in the regions of Argolida, Corinthia and Attica.
Police believe the suspects, seven Albanian nationals aged 19 to 46 and two Greek men aged 35 and 45, are behind 39 robberies and break-ins.

N17 convict asks to serve rest of sentence at home
Convicted November 17 terrorist Savvas Xeros was briefly transferred on Tuesday from the high-security Korydallos Prison, where he is serving five life sentences, to a Piraeus court, where he lodged an appeal to continue his punishment under house arrest due to worsening health problems. The court is to issue its decision on June 26.

Decapitated body of man discovered at Larissa train station
Authorities in Larissa, central Greece, were investigating on Tuesday the circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified man whose decapitated body was discovered at the towns railway station by a security employee.
The mans head was found a few meters away from the body. The victim was believed to be between 60 and 65 years of age.

Early reports suggested the suspect killed his compatriot in a shop where the latter was working before attacking the entrepreneur with a meat cleaver at a nearby taverna.
