Electricity subsidies continue
It is highly likely that the government will need to continue subsidizing electricity bills in September as natural gas prices rose toward the end of August, Environment and Energy Minister Theodoros Skylakakis said in a radio interview Friday.

Electricity subsidy may continue in September, minister announces
The government may continue to pay subsidies on electricity bills in September, Environment and Energy Minister Theodoros Skylakakis has announced.
Speaking to Real FM, Skylakakis said there are resources from taxation for the subsidy, which will be paid unless prices go down.
Make more houses available for subsidized loans, professionals demand
Real estate market professionals say that, to succeed, the second round of mortgage subsidies should significantly raise the value of homes eligible for subsidized rates. This would widen the pool of available properties, they say.
Growing startups looking for funding and mergers
Greek scale-ups, as growing startups are called, are looking for more funding, after a comparatively dry last couple of years.
According to a five-country survey by Deloitte Private, 79% of Greek scale-ups are looking for more funding.
But only 13% are certain they will find the funds they seek, with another 40% saying they are "relatively positive" they will do so.
