Bulgaria: Driver Sentenced to Six Years for Fatal Crash That Killed Father and Two Children

Bulgaria's Supreme Court of Cassation has upheld a six-year prison sentence for Valentin V., the driver responsible for a tragic accident in Aytos in 2021 that resulted in the deaths of a father and his two minor children. The court also imposed a nine-year ban on the defendant's right to drive.

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila on Monday stated it's necessary to find out the truth about the December 1989 Revolution. "As you well know, I don't comment on matters related to justice. I believe justice should be done by judges and the less politicians talk about it the better.

Court rules in favor of Brankica Stankovic and Veran Matic

Almost thirteen years after airing of TV show Insajder (Insider) on television B92, in which the son of former district attorney in Belgrade Milovan Bozovic was mentioned, Supreme Court of Cassation in Belgrade had judged in favor of Brankica Stankovi and VeranMmati, who were legally represented in the process by Kruna Savovi, partner in ivkovi Samardi law office.

Landmark victory in freedom of expression case

The clients were broadcaster B92, its former journalist Nikola Radisic, and news and current affairs editor and chairperson of the Board of Directors Veran Matic, the Zivkovic Samardzic Law Office said, adding that its Technology, Media and Telecommunications Senior Associate and Head of Media Litigation Kruna Savovic led the team in this case.
