Fuel tanker explosion in Nigeria kills at least 59
A fuel tanker exploded after colliding with a truck carrying passengers and cattle in northern Nigeria's Niger State killing at least 59 people, a rescue agency said on Monday.
Ibrahim Husseini, spokesman for the Niger State Emergency Management Agency or SEMA, told AFP the victims were given a mass burial following Sunday's early morning accident and explosion.

Excise officials shut down gas station for two years over adulterated fuel
Excise officials have ordered a gas station to close for two years after finding it was selling adulterated fuel and had an illegal storage tank.
In a statement, the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) said that during an on-site inspection, its officers found a parked tanker which was about to deliver fuel to the filling station's tanks.
Tanker truck catches fire on Athens-Corinth motorway
A tanker truck transporting gasoline caught on fire on Thursday on the motorway between Athens and Corinth. There are currently 15 firefighters and five vehicles on scene.
According to state broadcaster ERT, the driver managed to escape his vehicle in time and there are no reports of any endangered people. As a safety precaution, all traffic in both directions has been stopped.
One killed, 66 reported injured in Turkish tanker truck explosion
A tanker truck carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) on July 22 overturned and exploded on a highway in southeast Turkey, killing one and injuring at least 66 people.
