IRS: Automatic Fines Issued Without Clear Explanations
The automatic imposition of fines will be activated from next month by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AAΔE) on taxpayers who are late in submitting income tax, VAT and withholding tax returns. The notices will be sent electronically via email and the myAADEapp application.
The E-Vignettes for Trucks Are Available for Purchase again
The sale of monthly electronic vignettes for vehicles with a total Maximum authorised mass (MAM) of over 3.5 tonnes has been restored.
Electronic Vignettes Come Into Force as of 1st of January
Some 13,000 electronic vignettes have been purchased so far, the Road Infrastructure Agency reported on 31st of December, quoted by the Bulgarian National Television.
Sale of Electronic Vignettes for Cars in Bulgaria will Start on December 17
The sale of the new electronic vignette for cars starts on December 17 and they will take effect on 1 January next year.
They will be purchased through the bgtoll.bg site, a mobile application, over 500 self-service terminals, as well as in retail outlets.
Drivers Will Not be Required to Show Their Electronic Vignette
Drivers will not be required to show their electronic vignette or any proof of payment, as the authorities will do checks electronically, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works said.
This is part of the draft decree on the setting up and operation of the mixed toll system for road vehicles, published by the ministry for public discussion.
Yearly Vignette To Be Valid Until December 31
The yearly vignette sticker will be valid from January 1 to December 31 of the year for which it was issued.
In order to facilitate citizens, the Council of Ministers has proposed that, if they have a valid vignette for the previous year, they have the right to use republican roads until January 31 of the following year.
