National Security Council: Serbia stable, region turbulent, Kosovo a concern
BELGRADE - Serbia is a stable country and there is no possibility of a major threat to peace and security in its territory, the National Security Council concluded at a meeting on Monday.
The situation in the region is turbulent and complex, while Serbia has invested enormous efforts towards maintaining peace and stability in this part of Europe, concluded the Council.
Serbian Army ends snap drill of rapid reaction forces
Defense Minister Zoran Djordjevic announced on Wednesday evening that an unscheduled check of Serbian Army's operative capabilities has been completed.
Djordjevic said the exercise assured him that the military units are "completely prepared to carry out all tasks."
Reconstructed rail line section opened to traffic
VRANJE - A reconstructed Corridor 10 rail line section connecting Vranjska Banja and Ristovac in southern Serbia was opened to traffic on Thursday at a ceremony also attended by PM Aleksandar Vucic.
The works on the 17.7 km section, worth 10.5 mln dinars, were funded from a Russian loan, along with reconstruction of two other sections in southern Serbia.

Military plant blast kills officer; 3 missing, 25 injured
An explosion occurred on Tuesday afternoon in the A28 ammunition depot of the Tehnicki Remontni Zavod in Kragujevac, central Serbia, that killed one person.
The Ministry of Defense announced this on Tuesday evening, adding that three more persons are listed as missing, while 25 members of the Serbian Army (VS) and the Interior Ministry (MUP) have been injured.

Gov't offers guarantees for Ivanovic, decision due Wednesday
KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The Basic Court in Kosovska Mitrovica will on Wednesday decide whether to keep Civic Initiative SDP leader Oliver Ivanovic in custody after the Serbian government reiterated guarantees of his availability to judicial authorities.
Ivanovic has spent over three years in custody since his arrest in January 2014.

Bulgarian Police 'Helping People Smugglers', Migrant Claims
Smugglers who help take migrants from Bulgaria into Serbia are being assisted by Bulgarian police, a migrant has told SkY News.
A correspondent for the British TV channel has talked to a migrant named as Azad Ali, who claims "those people are working with the help of Bulgarian police."
"I saw a policeman who lifted the boot of the car and he saw migrants in the car."
Serbia, Belgium sign agreement on fight against terrorism
Vucic: Agreement on wall same as it was on December 8
BELGRADE - The December 8 agreement on the Kosovska Mitrovica wall is the same as the one that has now been implemented, Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic said Monday.
Construction of a complex with all the details needed by North Mitrovica Serbs will start on Tuesday, pursuant to the agreement, Vucic told reporters in Belgrade.
