Third Energy Package

In a statement, the Vienna-based Secretariat said it had notified on February 1 "the energy regulatory authority of Serbia, AERS, of its opinion on the exemption granted by AERS to the pipeline project Gastrans on October 1, 2018."

BELGRADE - The Serbian government adopted the guidelines for restructuring Serbia's state-owned gas provider Srbijagas at a meeting Thursday, the Ministry of Energy and Mining said in a release.

This is an important first step in making Srbijagas a market-oriented, profitable company, the ministry said.

BELGRADE - Serbia's EU path will not slow down nor will the country have to endure any sanctions over the restructuring of the Srbijagas public enterprise, Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic told Tanjug on Wednesday.

The EU Commission has launched a "pilot' procedures against Bulgaria over Sofia's legal amendments regarding the South Stream pipeline and plans to suspend the EDC's licenses.

Despite not being of "penal" essence, the procedures could prompt further measures by the Commission following their results, according to the Bulgarian National Radio.

Russia is to file its second formal complaint against the EU with the World Trade Organization (WTO) over the EU's so-called 'Third Energy Package', reports EUobserver. 

European legislation is applied to all infrastructure which is under the EU's jurisdiction, the EU Commission said on Thursday.
