Bad start for school buses as multiple violations recorded
The Athens Traffic Police said on Monday it registered 60 safety and traffic violations by 316 school buses on the first day of the academic year.
Fines were handed to drivers for violations ranging from faulty tachographs, violating the speed limit, not wearing a seatbelt, worn-out tires and others.
Pantelidis did not hit the brakes before crashing onto road barriers
Famous Greek singer Pantelis Pantelidis died on February 18 when his car crashed on the road barriers at Vouliagmeni Avenue.
According to expert witnesses, the car Pantelidis was driving was in excellent condition and there was no problem with the brakes or the accelerator, while the tires were also in very good condition.
Bus burns down after one of its tires explodes
A bus owned by the Nis Ekspres company burned down completely after midday on Tuesday on a highway near Leskovac, in southern Serbia.
The fire was caused by one of the vehicle's tires exploding, the Beta agency is reporting, adding that nobody was injured in the accident.
