France, Spain ease virus lockdowns but UK wary

Millions of people in France and Spain were set to embrace a relaxation of stay-at-home rules on May 11, but Britain extended its lockdown as countries plot their way tentatively through the coronavirus crisis.    

Fears of a second wave of the pandemic, which has killed more than 280,000 people worldwide and wrecked the global economy, stalked much of Europe and the world.

The government and the country as of 4 May will enter the next phase of the pandemic crisis with a gradual lockdown lifting which will put an end to SMS permission or written certificates that one has a serious reason (from a list of categories from exercising, grocery shopping, and walking the dog to caring for homebound citizens) to leave one's home.
