A tornado blew off the storages of an entire olive oil factory in the town of Kalamata in southern Greece, NOVA reported.

The strong whirlwind struck on November 4 in the afternoon and was captured by the plant's security cameras, local media reported.

Most of the warehouses have been destroyed. The strong wind also lifted cars that were parked near the plant.

Nearly 7700 US flights were canceled or postponed yesterday due to a winter storm.

Hundreds of flights have been hit at the busy international airports of New York and Chicago.

The worst is the situation at New York's La Guardia International Airport, where 497 flights were canceled and 89 flights were postponed, the BNR reported.

A new storm and fresh tornadoes have caused more damage in the southern Turkish province of Antalya, wrecking greenhouses and flooding neighborhoods two weeks after a similar disaster. 

Schools are off in several districts of the southern province of Antalya on Feb. 6 as experts warned of a "great risk" for deadly tornadoes.

The Greek National Observatory's online weather service, Meteo.gr, recorded a total of 107 tornadoes in 2018, which is about average over the course of the past decade.

According to data from Meteo published on Friday, 99 of the tornadoes were at sea (waterspouts) and eight were on land, with three causing significant damage on the Halkidiki peninsula in northern Greece and on Crete.
