Tourist visits in Serbia up by 1.9 pct y-o-y in October
BELGRADE - Serbia registered 1.9 pct more tourist visits in October 2024 relative to the same month of last year and the number of overnight stays was down by 3.5 pct y-o-y, according to figures released by the national statistical office.
Overnight stays by Serbian tourists were down by 14.6 pct y-o-y, while those generated by foreign tourists were up by 9.7 pct y-o-y.

The proper management of natural resources has become urgent due to the climate crisis and the increasing pressure from tourism, especially in areas with outdated infrastructure like islands.
Water should not be held hostage by local, narrow interests but managed regionally.

Tourism industry warning
