Study: Hurricanes Are Three Times more than 100 Years ago
The devastating hurricanes that are occurring in the present are three times more than 100 years ago, scientists say in a new study, NOVA reports.
Using a new method to measure the destruction, scientists conclude that the damage from powerful cyclones is linked to the global warming.
Dozens Died after a Typhoon in Bangladesh
The death cases caused by the Bulbul typhoon in Bangladesh are at least 26, Ria Novosti reported.
The cyclone hit the shores of the Asian side two days ago and damaged some 100,000 houses and other structures.
At least 51 people, mostly fishermen, are missing. They entered the sea despite warnings of a very severe storm and never returned.

Typhoon Hagibis Killed 35 People in Japan
Tens of thousands of rescuers are searching for survivors of the powerful Typhoon Hagibis, two days after the storm hit Japan. There are at least 35 death cases reported.
Hagibis caused heavy rains before it burst into full force, causing landslides, floods and overflows of rivers.

Japan Is Preparing for the Most Powerful Typhoon in Over 60 Years
Most of the restaurants, shops and pharmacies in the capital Tokyo are closed today. The Hagibis typhoon is approaching Japan from the southeast with 25 km / h and the wind gusts are reaching speeds of nearly 200 km / h. The typhoon is expected to reach Tokyo around 9pm (3pm Bulgarian time) today.
Mitag Typhoon Took Nine Victims in South Korea, Five People Remain Missing
Typhoon Mitag caused the death of nine people in South Korea. Five remain missing, the Associated Press reported.
The storm brought strong winds and torrential rains in the south parts of the country.
The interior ministry reported that six of the victims were killed in a landslide. Seven people were injured in typhoon-related accidents.

The Azores Civil Protection Agency said that the two westernmost islands had suffered minor damage, while hurricane felled trees and power lines, but no injuries were reported.
Azores Civil Protection Agency chief Carlos Neves says two homes were safely evacuated.
Around 250,000 people live on the nine volcanic islands.

Heavy Rainfalls Caused Floods and Chaos in London
The torrential rain flooded London and caused real chaos in traffic as well as severe subway delays. Due to flooding, four metro stations were closed in the evening rush hour. Various footages show rain water pouring through the roof of Liverpool Street Station, one of London's busiest train stations.
Hurricane Humberto dumped the monthly rainfall in just six hours.
