New species of inverted tulip discovered
A new species of the inverted tulip plant has come to light in the Karakoçan district of the eastern province of Elazığ.
Veysel Sonay, a postgraduate student at Şanlıurfa Harran University's Biology Department, saw that the flower he came across in Elazığ during his field studies was looking different from other species.

‘Lost Tulip’ blooms once again in its homeland
The "Lost Tulip," which became extinct in Anatolia in 1896, has bloomed again in the northern province of Bartın's Amasra district, its homeland, offering a mesmerizing site to look at with its beautiful red and orange tones.

Istanbul Tulip returns home after 200 years
The Istanbul Tulip returned home to Turkey after two centuries, Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has said.
"Today, after more than 200 years, we brought the Istanbul Tulip home!," Consul General Bart van Bolhuis said in a series of Tweets and shared pictures of the yellow-reddish flower with acuminate leaves.

Istanbul municipality pours iced water on early-flowering tulips before festival
Teams from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality's (?BB) Parks, Gardens and Green Areas Department have been pouring iced water on some 30 million tulip bulbs around the city to prevent early blossoming, as they are planned to come out for Istanbul's famous Tulip Festival in April.
