The Athens metro stations of Omonia (Line 1 and 2), Larissis Station and Dafni (Line 2) will be closed over the weekend as transport authorities install turnstiles to prevent fare dodging.
Trains will pass through the stations but without stopping.

Turnstile installation closing four more Athens metro stations on weekend
An ongoing program to install turnstiles at the Greek capital's metro and ISAP stations to crack down on fare dodging will result in the closure of four more metro stations this weekend.
Four Athens metro stations to be closed on weekend
Four stations on the Athens metro will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday as crews are to install turnstiles as part of a government plan to crack down on fare dodging, which is depriving state coffers of millions of euros.
The stations are Sepolia and Metaxourgio on Line 2 and Evangelismos and Katechaki on Line 3.

Four stations on the Athens metro will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday as crews install turnstiles to crack down on fare dodging.

Two metro stations to be closed on weekend
The Panormou and Syngrou/Fix metro stations in Athens will be closed at the weekend due to work to install turnstiles at entry points.
Trains running through will not stop at the stations.
As part of the effort to crack down on fare dodgers, the Athens transport authority, OASA, is moving ahead with its installation of turnstiles at metro and ISAP stations.

E-ticket launch on Athens public transport delayed
The Athens transport authority, OASA, will be easing passengers into its new electronic ticket technology by allowing the use of regular paper tickets on buses, trolley buses, the tram, metro and ISAP trains until the new system is fully integrated.

Locals plan to protest turnstiles at Istanbul public beach
Locals and rights groups in Istanbul's Kad?köy district plan to protest on July 4 the installation of turnstiles used to charge an entry fee for a public beach, saying this is a new practice of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (?BB).
