Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton faces a congressional grilling on Oct. 22 over her role during and after the deadly attacks on the US mission in Benghazi, a hearing one top Democrat blasted as a "political hit job." 

Hillary Clinton did not hand over at least 15 emails from her time as secretary of state, the U.S. State Department said on June 25, undercutting her claim that the 30,000 work emails she provided from her personal server were a complete record.

The U.S. State Department has proposed a mid-January deadline to finish its review and release 55,000 pages of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's work emails she sent through a private server and has since turned over to the department.
