GCS: 146 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Romania; total number of infected people - 18,429
A number of 146 new cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been recorded in Romania since the last information that brings the total case count to 18,429, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official coronavirus communication task force, reported on Tuesday. Of the people confirmed positive, 11,874 have been declared cured and discharged.

India will bring back its citizens, who were stranded in Turkey due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, on June 8.
"AI-1965 [flight] arriving on June 08, in Istanbul, to bring home stranded Indians in Turkey," the Indian Embassy in Ankara said on Twitter.
On May 7, India launched a massive operation to evacuate 14,800 citizens stranded abroad.

GCS: COVID-19 death toll hits 1,202
Five more persons infected with the novel coronavirus have died, taking the COVID-19 death toll to 1,202, on Monday informs the Strategic Communication Group. The latest victims are three men and two women aged between 49 to 84, from the counties of Vrancea, Hunedoara, Prahova, and Galati and the City of Bucharest.

Coronavirus death toll inches up to 172 on Monday morning
Greece's coronavirus death toll rose to 172 in the early hours of Monday after an 82-year-old woman died in an Athens hospital, following 24 hours without a fatality.
According to media reports, the woman had been admitted to Evangelismos Hospital with Covid-19 on April 17 and suffered underlying health problems.
