Kosovo Police Arrest Serb for ‘Inciting Hatred’ After Battle Commemoration
Kosovo police said they arrested Serbian citizen Nikola Nedeljkovic from Belgrade for "inciting hatred and discord" after a memorial service on Tuesday dedicated to the fighters of 1389 Battle of Kosovo.
The service was held at the Gazimestan monument near Kosovo's capital, Pristina. It coincides with the Serbian Orthodox religious holiday of Vidovdan (St. Vitus Day).

After that, a formal reception will be organized on the occasion of Vidovdan and the inauguration of the President of the Republic in the second term.
The ceremony of presenting the decorations, as well as the ceremonial reception, will be organized in the Palace of Serbia at 6:00 p.m., Office for Media Relations of the President of the Republic announced.

President Aleksandar Vucic laid a wreath at the Monument to the Heroes of Kosare to mark the anniversary of the end of the battle.
After laying the wreath, Vui talked to the veterans of the Battle of Koare, who also laid the wreath at the monument, and thanked them for everything they did for the fatherland.

The court sentenced him to six months in prison but ruled that Jovanovic can pay a fine of 6,700 euros instead of serving the sentence, which his defence agreed to do.

Chicago Mayor Hails Serbian Religious Holiday of Vidovdan
Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot announced on Monday that her city administration has proclaimed June 28 to be Vidovdan Day and urged its residents to "join in celebrating" the Serbian religious occasion.
