Ashes from a Russian Volcano Reached the Stratosphere (Video)
The Shiveluch Volcano of Kamchatka has ejected a pylon of ash 11 kilometers above sea level, TASS reportedly referring to Russian vulcanologists. The announcement is made by scientists from the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Group of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismic Activity of the Far Eastern Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Indonesia to Reopen Bali Airport After Closure Due to Volcano
Bali airport will reopen on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said, two days after a volcanic eruption spread ash across the island and forced the airport to close.
The airport will reopen at 3 p.m, reported Reuters.

The Shinmoe volcano in southwest Japan erupted for the first time in six years, the country's national meteorological service said.
The seismic activity in the region of Kagoshima and Miyazaki prefectures began at the end of last month. The first eruptions in six years took place early Wednesday morning - the volcano ejected a pillar of ash at a height of 300 meters.
