Turkey finishes setting up observation posts in Idlib
Turkey has finished establishing military observation posts in the Idlib province of Syria by setting up its 12th and last post, the Turkish army announced in a written statement on May 16.
Missile Attack in Syria Left 26 Dead
Mirror - Nine missiles fired on Syria in Hama and Aleppo were fired from British and US bases in Jordan, Syrian media has claimed.
The Syrian army has described the strikes as new "aggression" by its enemies, state television said.
But sources in the MOD say there was no involvement in the strikes, which saw missiles strike targets in Aleppo and Homs.

Police arrest leading member of Rouvikonas
A leading member of the self-styled anarchist group Rouvikonas was identified and arrested by Greek police for storming into the premises of the British Council in central Athens on Thursday morning.
According to reports, some 20 group members entered the council building, scattered flyers and shouted slogans about Syria before leaving.

Russia and US engage in dangerous saber-rattling over Syria

Russian Plane Crash in Syria 'Kills 32'
A Russian transport plane has crashed in Syria killing all 26 passengers and six crew members believed to have been on board, the defence ministry says, quoted by BBC.
The An-26 plane crashed during landing at Hmeimim airbase, near the Syrian coastal city of Latakia, the ministry is quoted as saying by Russian media.

Syria: Chemical Attack Suspected in Eastern Ghouta Siege
Medics in Syria say a child has died and a dozen more are being treated after another suspected chlorine gas attack, reported Aljazeera.
Witnesses reported smelling the gas after an explosion in the rebel-held area of Eastern Ghouta.
The Syrian government has denied using chemical weapons in the war.
