Assange to be extradited to the United States: British minister gives "green light"

The case was forwarded to the Minister of the Interior last month, after the Supreme Court decided that there were no legal issues regarding the assurances of the American authorities about how it will be treated.
Although Patel gave the green light, an appeal from Assange's legal team is expected.

James Pardew, who was United States ambassador to Bulgaria from 2002 to 2005, has died at the age of 77.

Born in Memphis Tennessee and raised in Jonesboro, Pardew graduated in journalism from Arkansas State University, later earning a masters degree in political science from Loyola University.

On February 5, Montenegro's Appeal Court annulled the first-instance verdicts in the trial, asking the Higher Court to stage a retrial in the case that the opposition had claimed was politically motivated. The court said it revoked the first-instance verdict because of procedural errors.
