In the Fight against Contagion: 40% of the World's Population is Quarantined
More than 40% of the world's population has been urged or forced to comply with the quarantine to combat the new coronavirus, according to estimates by the France Press.
According to the agency, 3 billion and 380 million people are forced to live in isolation in nearly 80 countries and territories.

As soon as China abandoned its one-child policy a year ago, the country experienced a baby boom with around one million extra babies expected.
Chinese National Health and Family Planning Commission Deputy Director Wang Pei'an said China was undergoing a minor baby boom, with almost one million more newborns expected this year, according to official media reports.

The world's population grew slightly to 7.4 billion in 2016, the U.N. said Dec. 1, with a substantial youth bulge challenging political and social systems across the planet.
