The Constitutional Court has ruled that the refusal of the request for the return of the properties of two Armenian foundations, which had been taken over by the Treasury, violated their property rights and that a retrial should be held.

The 2,500-year-old Zindan Kapı (Dungeon Gate), which was built in the northwestern province of Bursa during the Bithynia Kingdom and is similar to the Istanbul's Yedikule Dungeons, has been opened to visitors as a digital museum and contemporary art gallery after a restoration process carried out by the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality.

The restoration work initiated in 2015 by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to convert the historical Hasanpaşa Gazhanesi (gashouse) into a museum and cultural center has been completed.

After being restored to its original form, the historical building will now serve as the Museum Gazhane.

A footballer at the Yedikule Sports Club was stabbed to death while he was trying to intervene to stop a man hitting a woman on an Istanbul street on Jan. 29. 

The Istanbul Archeologists Foundation has filed a complaint to the Turkish Culture Ministry's preservation board against the Fatih municipality for allegedly damaging the historic, UNESCO-protected Yedikule walls by laying asphalt on a protective clearing beside the walls.
