Medieval mountain gate reinstalled after 79 years
Dağkapı, a medieval mountain gate, was reinstalled to the 8,000-year-old Walls of Diyarbakır on June 2 after its renovation.
The gate, which has a history of more than a thousand years, was meticulously repaired by specialists and installed to the wall with the same antique grandeur.

Digital miniature exhibit opens in Istanbul on Feb 15
A digital miniature exhibition will open at the Marmaray Yenikapı Station in Istanbul on Feb. 15, Turkey's Communications Directorate announced on Feb. 13.
As part of the government's 360 Culture and Arts project, the Miniaturist Osman Surname-i Humayun Digital Miniature Exhibition will be open to the public for free between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays, read a statement.
Cat skeletons in Yenikapı metro site reveal new facts
Excavations at the undersea metro construction sites of Yenikapı and Marmaray in Istanbul that were carried out between 2004 and 2014 in Istanbul unearthed cat remains and skeletons along with many other animals dating back to the Byzantine era.
