Vucic meets with top military officials

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday evening he had held an important meeting with top military officials and the chiefs of military agencies.

"Serbia must be independent, militarily neutral and, above all, militarily capable of protecting its people from any potential aggressor," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

Washington premiere of Heroes of Halyard held at Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON - The Washington premiere of the WWII-themed Serbian film The Heroes of Halyard was held at Capitol Hill on Tuesday.

Serbian Ambassador to Washington Marko Djuric said the premiere, held "at the heart of American democracy", commemorated the 80th anniversary of the heroic WWII Operation Halyard, when Serbian farmers rescued close to 500 US airmen.

Gov't adopts conclusion on agreement to purchase of Hitler's directive that ordered attack on Yugoslavia

BELGRADE - The Government of Serbia on Thursday adopted a Conclusion on its agreement to the recent purchase of Adolf Hitler's Directive No. 25 of March 27, 1941, whereby the then-German chancellor ordered the attack on the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and the Kingdom of Greece.

The directive, signed by Hitler, consists of 13 originals.
