Croatian Authorities Detain 4 Bulgarians with 47 kg of Heroin

Croatian authorities have arrested four Bulgarians with 47.7 kilogrammes of heroin at the Bayakovo border cross checkpoint with Serbia, announced the head of Criminal Police in Vukovar Mario Karamatic.

The Bulgarians were detained on October 29. They were travelling in a KIA vehicle with Bulgarian registration. The police discovered 90 packages of heroin.

Thousands massacred by Nazis remembered in Kragujevac

The Great School Class - an annual anti-war commemorative gathering - was held in the memorial park Sumarice, near Kragujevac, central Serbia.

The event honors the thousands of local civilians, that included school children and their teachers, executed on October 21, 1941, by the occupying German Nazi forces.

Romanian Police 'Find Migrants' in Bulgarian Truck

Romanian police have found ten migrants hiding in a Bulgarian-plated truck en route to Germany, a Serbian newspaper says.

The vehicle's declared cargo was paper.

Nine Syrians and an Iraqi national allegedly paid EUR 4000 each to arrive in Germany, according to Belgrade-based newspaper Danas.

There were two children among those detained.

 

Serbia, RS to mark NDH and Jasenovac anniversaries

Serbia and the Serb Republic (RS) will together mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) and of Jasenovac.

Beta agency reported this on Friday, saying that the announcement was made by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic after this meeting in Belgrade with Milorad Dodik, the president of the Serb entity (RS) in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Novi Sad: Anniversary of fascist raid that killed thousands

The anniversary of the Novi Sad Raid - during which several thousand citizens were murdered, their bodies thrown under the Danube ice - was marked on Friday.

The massacres were committed by the occupying Hungarian fascist forces from January 4 until January 29, 1942, targeting the local Serb, Jewish, and Roma population.
