Belgium Released Brussels Attacker Deported Earlier from Turkey, Erdogan Reveals
Turkey deported one of the Brussels attackers and alerted the Belgian authorities about him last year, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said.
However, Belgium had found no links with terorism of the deportee and released him, Erdogan said at a joint news conference with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis in Ankara, Turkish news daily Sabah reported on Wednesday.
Romania on Alert Following Brussels Attacks
Four Romanian citizens, including a child, were wounded in the terror attacks on the airport and metro in Brussels, the Romanian Foreign Ministry confirmed on Wednesday.
The child is hospitalized and under the care of a relative, while of the other three casualties, one has been released and two remain under medical supervision.

A new video emerged shows what happened just a few seconds after the explosion occurred at check-in American Airlines at the airport of the Belgian capital.
Brussels Attack: Reports of Suspect's Arrest Spark Confusion
Belgian media backtracked after initial reports that Najim Laachraoui, the main surviving suspect sought by police in relation to the deadly attacks in Brussels on Tuesday, has been detained.
Belgian prosecutor Frederic Van Leeuw announced on Wednesday afternoon the suspect was still on the run.
Some Sofia-Brussels Flights Cancelled on Wednesday
Sofia Airport has announced no Bulgaria Air flights to Brussels will take place on Wednesday, after the measure was in force the day before.
The announcement comes after the attacks in Brussels on Tuesday that targeted Zaventem international airport and the Maelbeek metro station. At least 31 people died, while up to 230 were injured, some of them seriously.

Brussels is still on high alert after the deadly terrorist attacks which claimed the live of more than 30 people at the city’s metro and International airport, earlier Tuesday.

The security cordon at Zaventem airport, which was hit by two explosions on Tuesday morning, has been re-established after a suspicious package has been found.
The cordon was reduced after the initial security check of the airport, but the discovery of the package has led to its reestablishment.
Third Bomb at Brussels Airport Defused by Police
A third bomb found at Zaventem airport, which was hit by two explosions earlier on Tuesday, has been defused by police in a controlled explosion.
The twin bombings at Zaventem were followed by an explosion at Maelbeek metro station close to the European quarter of Brussels.
