The conflict between two famous Turkish directors of Turkish cinema, Nuri Bilge Ceylan and Zeki Demirkubuz, has been known for many years although they were close friends in the past.

Jim Jarmusch, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Turkish filmmaker Zeki Demirkubuz and local soccer club PAOK are just some of the stars of this year's Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

The 15th Boston Turkish Film Festival will kick off on March 17 with Tolga Karaçelik's "Sarma??k" (Ivy). The event will screen 21 Turkish films until April 23. 

Most of the films in the program are award-winners of international film festivals, and many of them will have their North America or U.S. premieres at the festival. 

The Istanbul Modern Cinema is continuing its Rendezvous with Directors series of meetings with prominent and critically acclaimed Turkish directors, welcoming Zeki Demirkubuz as its third guest.

The 34th Istanbul Film Festival's Honorary Award recipients have been announced. The awards are presented every year to those who make contributions to cinema by the organizer of the festival, the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV).

Writer and director Zeki Demirkubuz will be the jury president at the Golden Tulip National Film Competition of the 34th Istanbul Film Festival to be held between April 4-19.
