BELGRADE - Former Serbian Prime Minister and Democratic Party leader Zoran Djindjic was assassinated 12 years ago today.
On March 12, 2003, Djindjic was shot through the heart in the yard of the government building, and his bodyguard was wounded.

Belgrade has largest homeless population in Serbia
BELGRADE -- Belgrade has the largest population of homeless people in Serbia, a news conference heard on Firday during the presentation of "The Homeless" publication.
The homeless are mostly men aged 55 to 59 with little education, who are either jobless or do low-paid jobs that require no qualifications.

Postal and Logistics Center in Belgrade starts operating
BELGRADE - Posta Srbije, Serbia's national postal service, opened in Belgrade Thursday a regional postal and logistics center that allows making a full transition to automated sorting and processing of mail and parcels, and the opening ceremony was attended by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and director of the public enterprise Milan Krkobabic.

BELGRADE - An exhibition titled "From Tabula Ansata To Munze Konza", authored by Branko Najhold, will open on Wednesday at the Stara Kapetanija gallery as part of the European Heritage Days.
Vucic attends reception hosted by Li Keqiang
TIANJIN - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic attended the opening of the World Economic Forum, or 'Summer Davos", in Tianjin, the Serbian government's press service released on Wednesday.
After the opening, Vucic attended a dinner for senior officials and guests of the conference, hosted by Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang, the release states.

Vucic, Li agree to hold summit in Belgrade
TIANJIN - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has reached an agreement with Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang on the holding of a summit of the 16 leaders of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in Belgrade, and his coming to Belgrade in December so that they open the Zemun-Borca Bridge together.
This will be the first visit by a Chinese prime minister after almost 30 years.
