London drops Bolshoi, Eurovision bars Russia
The Royal Opera House has canceled a planned tour to London by Moscow's Bolshoi Ballet, while the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has said that Russia will not be allowed an entry in this year's Eurovision Song Contest because of the country's invasion of Ukraine.

'Swan Lake' at TİM Show Center
The world-famous Saint Petersburg Ballet Theater will perform the "Swan Lake" ballet at Istanbul's TİM Show Center on Dec 3, 4, and 5.
The ballet company will be accompanied on the stage by Antonina Chapkina and Fuad Mamedov, the lead singers of the Bolshoi Ballet, one of the oldest ballet companies in the world.

Bolshoi’s ‘Raymonda’ | Athens | October 27
Tuning in live from Moscow, the Athens Concert Hall will be screening the Bolshoi Ballet's celebrated production of "Raymonda," choreographed by Yuri Grigorovich after Marius Petipa, on Sunday, October 27. In Alexander Glasunov's romance Raymonda is betrothed to Jean de Brienne, a gallant knight in the service of the King of Hungary.

Ivan Vasiliev | Athens | December 11 & 12
Regarded as one the greatest performers in classical ballet today, Ivan Vasiliev will be making two appearances in Athens, performing extracts from some of his emblematic roles, as well as his own original work. Opera Ballet Festival in Aspendos
The 25th International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival opened on Sept 4 with Puccini's 'Turandot.' The festival will continue on Sept 10 with 'Zorba the Greek' and the Bolshoi Ballet, which will perform the 'Bolshoi Ballet Gala Night' on Sept 13.

Lavrovsky Tribute | Thessaloniki & Athens | September 17 & 19-20
The Bolshoi Ballet pays tribute to one of its greatest dancers and teachers, Mikhail Lavrovsky, with a show that premiered in Moscow on May 4 and is traveling outside Russia for the first time for three shows in Greece, just a month shy of Lavrov's 76th birthday.
Russian ballet legend returns to Herod Atticus Theater
In the early 1970s, the Bolshoi Ballet came to Athens, with a star dancing the title role of Spartacus at a packed Herod Atticus Theater. Mikhail Lavrovsky was at the apogee of his fame at the time and this particular role, which earned him the Lenin Prize, was to become a career milestone.

The Athens Concert Hall is showing a live screening of the Bolshoi Ballet in "A Hero of Our Time," by choreographer Yuri Possokhov and theatre director Kirill Serebrennikov, that takes a fresh approach to the classic 19th century novel by Mikhail Lermontov. The music is by Ilya Demutsky. The screening starts at 6 p.m. and admission costs 15 euros.
