Ljubljana – The government has not yet taken a position regarding Italy’s appeal to close ski centres around Europe during the December holidays, the Economy Ministry told the STA. The ministry expects the European Commission to send recommendations for the skiing season to member states.

The Ski Season in Bansko will Last until 15 April
The ski season in Bansko will last until April 15, when it will be officially closed. Over the past few days, snow has increased by about 30 centimeters in the ski center. In some places, the snow cover is now 2.50 meters. All the tracks are well-worked and all the facilities work. The prices of the lift cards are already reduced by 20%.

Number of Tourists Visiting Pamporovo Increases with Over 30%
The number of tourists visiting Bulgaria's ski resort Pamporovo has increased with over 30% during the current winter season, announced BNR.
The ski season will continue until Easter and will be closed officially with free of charge ski lift services on April 17.
Winter Season Officially Opens in Bulgaria's Borovets, Pamporovo
The new winter season was officially opened in two of Bulgaria's most popular winter resorts - Borovets and Pamporovo on Saturday.
The ski season in the other major winter resort of Bansko was opened last week with a ceremony attended by Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova, Sports Minister Krasen Kralev and a number of ski legends.

Bulgarian ski resorts will keep prices unchanged from last year for Winter 2015-16, bTV reported on Friday, citing information from hotel owners and ski lift operators in Bansko, Pamporovo and Borovets.

Bulgaria's largest ski resorts - Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo open this year's ski season on Saturday, reports the bTV national channel.
According to the information, this season the three resorts will keep the ski pass prices from last year, while the Tourism Ministry expects a 4-5% increase in number of tourists.
