Number of ISIL militants detained in Turkey doubled in last half of 2015
The number of suspected Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) members detained by security forces in Turkey almost doubled in the second half of 2015, with a total of 1,139 detained over the course of the year, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement.

A 63-year-old German woman who was injured in a jihadist suicide attack in Istanbul's Sultanahmet neighborhood two weeks ago has succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment in a Berlin hospital.

A Turkish tourist guide prevented more casualties in the deadly Jan. 12 terrorist attack in Istanbul's touristic Sultanahmet neighborhood after warning tourists to flee the area at the time of the blast, which killed 10 German tourists and injured 15 others.
German tour giant TUI offers free cancelation of Istanbul trips
German tourism giant TUI said that customers who had booked trips to Istanbul can switch destination without penalties, after a suicide attack in the Turkish city on early Jan. 12 claimed 10 lives, nine of them Germans, as reported by Agence France-Presse.
The operator said customers can also opt to postpone their trip to Istanbul without penalties for the next six days.
