A cinema hall opened in France's western city of Strasbourg in 1913 and run by a Turk for the last three decades has been closed due to a change in the management tender.
Odyssee Cinema Hall, one of France's oldest halls, was hosting Turkish cinema festivals for the last 25 years.

Yeşilçam's iconic actress Fatma Girik passes away
Fatma Girik, a veteran actress of Turkish cinema, a.k.a. Yeşilçam, passed away on Jan. 24 at the age of 79.
She died of multiple organ failure at a private hospital in Istanbul, where she was being treated for COVID-19, according to a statement released by the hospital management.

Four children drown in four days in southern Turkey
Four children have drowned in hotel pools in southern Turkey over the past four days.
Safa Boutadjine, 7, the daughter of a French family vacationing in a hotel in the Mediterranean province of Antalya, drowned after she entered an adult pool at the hotel located in the Çolakl? neighborhood in Antalya's Manavgat district at around 6 p.m. on Aug. 5.
