An executive editor of private broadcaster Channel 5 fainted during a live broadcast on state-run TRT News on March 7.

Ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) lawmaker Mehdi Eker was one of the guests and can be seen to be one of the first people to help Abdulkadir Ünal.

Ünal was taken to hospital immediately while the broadcast was paused for breaks.
