Trial into 2022 killing of Thessaloniki youth gets under way
The 12 people accused of the murder of 19-year-old Alkis Kampanos on February 1, 2022 in Harilaou, Thessaloniki and the injury of his two friends told a court on Monday that they did not beat him.
The trial for the soccer hooligan-related incident is taking place at the Mixed Jury Court of Thessaloniki.
Home of soccer violence police officer attacked
Unknown assailants attacked and vandalized the home of an officer of a police unit that deals with sports violence early on Friday morning in the Athens district of Galatsi.
The vandals used a gas canister and flammable liquid to create a small explosion outside the officer's home and spray-painted abusive slogans on the walls.

Police raid fan clubs in western Athens
As part of ongoing effort to crack down on hooliganism in Greek sport, police late Thursday conducted raids on two fan clubs, both located in areas of western Athens.
Amid a recent spike in soccer hooliganism, police entered a building housing a Panathinaikos fan club in Peristeri and another in Ilion housing an Olympiakos fan club.

Clashes break out ahead of Champions League game
Clashes have broken out inside Greece's Olympic Stadium ahead of a Champions League match between AEK Athens and Ajax on Tuesday evening.
Riot police dispersed home fans who threw plastic bottles and other objects at visiting supporters. No arrests or injuries were immediately reported.
